The U.S. Gazetteer Files provide a listing of all geographic areas for selected geographic area types. The files include geographic identifier codes, names, area measurements, and representative latitude and longitude coordinates.

This page provides links to the 2022 gazetteer files for 116th Congressional Districts, American Indian/Alaska Native/Native Hawaiian Areas, census tracts, counties, county subdivisions (minor civil divisions/census county divisions), places, school districts (elementary, secondary, unified, and administrative), state legislative districts (upper and lower), urban areas, and ZIP Code tabulation areas (ZCTAs) for the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.

Some contain data summarized on an annual basis (annual summary files), some contain data summarized on a daily basis (daily summary), and some contain raw data (sample data as reported). These are the standard time aggregations EPA calculates and stores (we do not have monthly data). All but the annual summary have data files grouped by parameter:

Each table entry has the file name, linked to the file, the size of the (zipped) file, the number of data rows in the file, and the date the file was last modified. EPA will update these files twice per year; in the spring and fall (late May and November). Keep in mind, data collection agencies have up to 6 months to report their data. The files are all comma separated text with a header. Each aggregate level has a different format.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) values are presented in several files. AQI is calculated each day for each monitor for the Criteria Gases and PM10 and PM2.5 (FRM and non FRM). The AQI values are on the respective records in those Daily Summary files. There are also annual summary AQI files that show by CBSA (metro area) or county the annual statistics for AQI (max, number of values in each category, etc.). The Financial Statement Data Sets below provide numeric information from the face financials of all financial statements. This data is extracted from exhibits to corporate financial reports filed with the Commission using eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL). As compared to the more extensive Financial Statement and Notes Data Sets, which provide the numeric and narrative disclosures from all financial statements and their notes, the Financial Statement Data Sets are more compact. The information is presented without change from the "as filed" financial reports submitted by each registrant. The data is presented in a flattened format to help users analyze and compare corporate disclosure information over time and across registrants. The data sets also contain additional fields including a company's Standard Industrial Classification to facilitate the data's use.

DISCLAIMER: The Financial Statement Data Sets contain information derived from structured data filed with the Commission by individual registrants as well as Commission-generated filing identifiers. Because the data sets are derived from information provided by individual registrants, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of the data sets. In addition, it is possible inaccuracies or other errors were introduced into the data sets during the process of extracting the data and compiling the data sets. Finally, the data sets do not reflect all available information, including certain metadata associated with Commission filings. Data records from the NYPD Stop, Question, and Frisk database are available for download from the links provided below. Data is made available in CSV format. Data for the years 2003 through 2014 are provided in separate zip archives.

Record layouts and code books for each year's data are recorded in separate Excel spreadsheet format files. The most recent year's spreadsheet, as well as a zip archive containing all years' spreadsheets, are downloadable via the links below. The documentation archive may also contain statistical notes for the databases in text file format.

The NYPD 2006 Stop, Question, and Frisk database was previously released through the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research's National Archive of Criminal Justice Data (NACJD) (ICPSR P.O. Box 1248 Ann Arbor, Michigan 48106). There are some differences in format and content between the Consortium's file and the one made available above. Consult the documentation supplied with the respective downloads for the detailed differences. The data file and related documentation for NACJD's version of the file can be downloaded at the Consortium's web site: www.icpsr.umich.edu.

From 2003 to 2015, data was also made available in SPSS portable file format (.POR), stored in a zip file archive. After downloading, the zip archive must be extracted to access the SPSS portable file.
